At the crossroads between Provence and Languedoc, between Roy’s Land and the Papal city is where the Cellier des Chartreux and its 750ha are located. This remarkable place and history are connected to the present by two founding dates: 1612 when after 25 years of work the pond of Pujaut is finally dried up by the Chartreux revealing a vast and fertile plain of “white lands”, and 1929 when the Syndicat Général des Vignerons des Côtes du Rhône – the Cellier des Chartreux – was born motivated by an unchanged goal, to create wines made with skills that have been passed down from generation to generation for 400 year
